A Eunice man is in jail accused of stealing a woman's TV then running away when a neighbor stepped outside to see what was going on. Joshua Tyler, 21, is charged with simple burglary, trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Saturday night, a neighbor saw Tyler climbing over a fence carrying a flat screen TV, according to Eunice Deputy Chief Varden Guillory. "The witness then yelled 'What are you doing?' The suspect then dropped the TV set and ran after the witness. The witness then ran inside, locked her door and called 911 as the suspect was at her door trying to enter," he said. While the woman was on the phone with 911, Tyler ran away, according to police. The following day, police picked him up while he was walking on Hwy 13 with a 13-year-old juvenile. "At the time of his arrest he was in possession of a crack pipe. The suspect also suffered cuts to his hands during the burglary and blood was discovered at the scene," said Guillory.
