Eunice man accused of selling drugs, threatening police

A 49-year-old Eunice man has been arrested for selling drugs and threatening police officers.

The Eunice Police Department Narcotics Division received a tip that Keith Mouton was allegedly selling crack cocaine from his apartment.

Police say an informant purchased crack cocaine from Mouton, which tested positive.

A warrant was then issued for the arrest of Mouton.

On April 4, 2013 narcotics officers arrested Keith Mouton at his apartment.

Police say officers discovered prescription medications belonging to other individuals and drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation Mouton threatened officers which led to more charges, according to authorities.

Mouton is being held in the Eunice City Jail at this time on the following charges:

Distribution of schedule 2 CDS (cocaine)

Violation of the uniform CDS law (6 counts)

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Possession of legend drugs (2 counts)

Possession of a prescription of another without consent

Obliterated prescription label
