A Eunice man is in behind bars after he allegedly stole more than $2,000 from his elderly parents by forging and cashing their checks.
Police arrested 51-year-old John R. Bourque after questioning him. According to investigators, Bourque signed his parents' names on 16 of their checks before cashing them.
Bourque faces 16 counts each of theft, forgery, and monetary instrument abuse. His bond is set at $23,500.
