This morning, a judge set bond for a Eunice man accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl. This is the second time Phillip Lafleur, 18, is charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile involving the same girl. He was booked into the Eunice City Jail over the weekend. On June 7, officers were called to a house in the 1800 block of Hazel Street where a father caught Lafleur in his 14-year-old daughter's bedroom, according to Eunice Deputy Chief Varden Guillory. "Upon arrival officers discovered that Lafleur had already fled the scene. During the investigation officers found out that Phillip had been inside the residence multiple times and was involved in sexual activity with the 14-year-old juvenile," he said.
27th Judicial District Judge Ellis Daigle set bond at $17,500. Besides the felony carnal knowledge charge, Lafleur is charged with Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, and Criminal Trespassing.
Last year in October, Lafleur was accused of trying to leave the city with the girl in her mother's car, according to Guillory. The pair abandoned the car after they were involved in a crash and police found it the next day, he said.
In December, Lafleur's mother, Dandaline K. Sattler, hid synthetic marijuana in cupcakes and delivered it to her son in jail, said Guillory.
