A care package lands one Eunice City Jail inmate in more trouble. On Sunday, December 10, 2011, Dandaline K. Sattler, of Eunice, and her boyfriend Lindale Jamone Chaney, of Ville Platte, came to the jail with a box of cupcakes. Investigator discovered that the cupcake box also contained narcotics and was resealed. Sattler, mother of incarcerated trustee Phillip Lafleur, had placed the narcotics in the cupcake box upon Lafleur's request. A check by an EPD Officer revealed the hidden contraband in a resealed box.

Phillip Lafleur has been placed on lockdown and Trustee status removed.

Sattler and Chaney were each charged with Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution.
