A Eunice city councilman has proposed forming a committee to study police relations in the community. Councilman Jack Burson made the suggestion at Tuesday night's meeting after residents complained about the treatment they received from certain officers. Burson says one of the complaints came from some residents who were upset that police shut down Southeast Park just before an event was scheduled to take place. Burson tells KATC he would like to get ideas from citizens before the problem becomes too great. He hopes this committee will be formed by the next council meeting.
