Escaped Allen Parish inmate captured

OBERLIN, La. (AP) - A 23-year-old man is back in jail after a brief escape from the Allen Parish jail.
Authorities say Johnathan Kyle Courville fled from deputies Tuesday while awaiting transfer to Jefferson Davis Parish on burglary and theft charges.
He was recaptured a few hours later and only a short distance from the parish jail.
Deputies say Courville was still wearing his handcuffs when he fled from officers.
