GRAMBLING, La. (AP) - Grambling State University's preliminary enrollment report for the 2011-12 academic year shows enrollment has risen to 5,207, a 4.27 percent increase from the previous academic year.
Starting his second year as president at Grambling, Frank G. Pogue is on track to meet one of the 10 priorities set for the university.
By 2015 Pogue and his administration plan to increase GSU's enrollment to 7,500 students.
Pogue tells The News-Star the increase is welcomed news because it is the best indicator that students and parents value the quality of education Grambling provides.
