Endymion names Cooper, Ripa as grand marshals

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - CNN's Anderson Cooper, actress Kelly Ripa and her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, and the rock band Train are among the grand marshals for the 2011 Endymion Mardi Gras parade.
The krewe's founder and captain, Ed Muniz, says rocker Pat Benatar will be one of the celebrity riders during the parade, which rolls on Saturday, March 5 - the big weekend before Fat
Tuesday.
The parade will follow its traditional Mid-City route with the theme "Endymion's American Masters." It will feature floats depicting artists such as Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley and
Michael Jackson.
Among the grand marshals for last year's parade was Saints owner
Tom Benson.
