TIOGA, La. (AP) - About 1,000 Tioga High School students, faculty and staff were under lockdown for several hours after a teacher received threatening emails.
The school had performed a scheduled lockdown and evacuation drill before classes on Thursday.
Principal Kim Bennett says the school went into an unscheduled lockdown after officials were notified of the emails about 10:30 a.m.
Maj. Mark Wood of the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office said the emails remain under investigation and could not comment about their content.
