MONROE, La. (AP) - Christmas on the River will kick off with
entertainment, a pageant and beautiful lights - beautiful, but not
dancing.
An electrical problem will prevent the lights over Antique Alley
from dancing, but will not stop the festivities from opening on
Saturday night.
According to the News Star, Executive Director Alana Cooper says
the lights themselves will still be beautiful and worth a trip.
The Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau expects
the electrical issue to be resolved this week. The expected date
will be announced once a delivery date is established for the
specialized equipment needed for the synchronization.
