Port District

In the twin-parish port district of Iberia and Vermilion, residents had an option to vote for a plan to revitalize the Port of Delcambre. a proposed millage... or tax increase would raise money over the next ten years for various projects in the area hit hard by flooding. it passed, with 58-percent of the vote.


Iberia School Bonds

On the ballot in Iberia Parish, a 60 million dollar bond to improve schools with technology. The money would also be used for renovations and removal of portable classrooms throughout the parish. 66-percent of voters said yes, while 34-percent said no.Similar results for a vote to renew a 10 year property tax for school systems operations and maintenance. 66-percent of voters approved the measure.


St Landry

Melville voters said yes to renewing a 20-year annual sales tax for maintenance on public streets, bridges and sewers.
Voters in public works district four said "no" to a 15 mills tax for road maintenance.
In Grand Coteau, voters said yes to a penny sales tax.
For ward two alderman in the city of Eunice... Germaine Simpson took 57-percent of the vote over Lloyd Antoine.

St Martin

Henderson voters elected a councilman. Democrat Samantha Leblanc took 72-percent of the vote.
