In St. Mary Parish, a 73-year-old woman was issued a court summons. Deputies said it's because she called 9-1-1 a total of nine times in two days.
The Sheriff's Office Chief of Staff, Steve Clarke told KATC, each call was a non-emergency, and since issuing the summons, she hasn't called 9-1-1 again.
"For instance, her husband was out chasing skirts, her husband was full of the holy ghost and choking a dog, different things of that nature," said Clarke.
