According to Bloomberg.com, Edwin Edwards has removed speculation over whether or not he is running for Congress.
They quote the former governor as saying "I'm just figuring out all the legalities and how to set up a super PAC, and then I'm going."
Representative Bill Cassidy is vacating Louisiana's 6th Congressional District.
In the interview with Bloomberg, Edwards allegedly said that he's seen private polls showing he would easily qualify for a run-off between the race's two top finishers.

However, we have been unable to reach the former governor for confirmation. His wife tells KATC no official announcement has been made. "He's still considering it, and he's begun to look into the possibility a little deeper, but he still hasn't made a final decision," says Trina Scott Edwards. Edwin Edwards reiterated that message to Baton Rouge TV stations, saying no decision has been made.
