BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - East Baton Rouge Parish Planning Director Troy Bunch is stepping down after 18 years of leading the agency.
The Advocate reports Bunch submitted his resignation letter to Planning and Zoning Commission Chairwoman Tara Wicker on July 15.
He said his last day will be Nov. 29.
Bunch was appointed to lead the Planning Commission in 1995, after spending two years as an assistant director.
Bunch said last year that he was delaying plans to retire because of the ongoing implementation of FutureBR. But on Tuesday, he said he feels like the implementation is in capable hands without him at the helm.
