An upper level disturbance will move out of south Texas today and cross Acadiana this afternoon and evening. Clouds are already streaming in from the south and west, with occasional rain in the far offshore waters this morning. Additional rain will develop over southeast Texas later this morning and those rains will slide into Acadiana this afternoon and overnight tonight. Rainfall totals should stay below 1/4 inch.
At the same time a cold front will drift southward from the Midwest. The front should sweep through the area early Tuesday morning clearing up any rain by the early part of the morning. Later in the afternoon, skies will clear and a pleasant forecast is in store for the rest of the week.
Wednesday through Saturday should be mostly sunny with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. A few upper 40s are possible early Thursday morning.
