Early Morning Fatal on I-49

An early morning accident claims the life of an Opelousas man.
Just after 5am Sunday morning, a vehicle traveling south on I-49, north of Sunset, lost control, flipping over several times. The front passenger was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger came to a rest in the northbound lanes of I-49 and was struck by two vehicles traveling northbound which fled the scene.
The Louisiana State Police Troop I is still investigating this crash.
