The first half of the work week will be more summer like with slight chances for some afternoon showers, particularly along the coast. A disturbance moving in from the Gulf could bring some heavy rainfall to Acadiana.
This will be out in front of our next cold front which will move through later in the week which could bring some showers and thunderstorms. In the meantime you can expect temperatures to be right around seasonal with highs in the low 80s.
Don't be surprised to wake up Monday morning with a solid layer of clouds, but they will be breaking up as you go through the day. We are slowly getting to that time of year when it is just best to keep an umbrella handy in the car, because you never know when you may run into one of those pop up showers.
