NEW ORLEANS (AP) - State police plan to operate three sobriety checkpoints for drivers in the Florida Parishes.
A spokesman for Troop L said the first checkpoint will go up on Friday in Washington Parish at 9 p.m. On Saturday, troopers will conduct two DWI checkpoints in St. Tammany Parish at separate locations. The first will begin at 8 p.m., the second at midnight.
Locations were not disclosed.
Troopers said the Bogalusa and Franklinton police departments and the St. Tammany and Washington Parish sheriff's offices are cooperating.
