The Christmas season is upon us and no city knows how to get you in the spirit like the Hub City.

Downtown Alive comes to a close tonight with a special Thanksgiving Eve event. The end of the DTA season will also mark the beginning of the holiday season. The lighting of the official city Christmas tree will take place and Parish President Joey Durel will do the honors.

DTA! begins at 5:30 p.m. with concessions. Musical performances from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The lighting of the tree will take place at 7 p.m. and carriage rides will be available from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. for $1 donation or gift for Toys for Tots.

Don't forget! Concession sales help keep DTA! free, so please leave your ice chests at home with your pets.
