Broussard Police say two men are behind bars after a noise complaint leads them to a drug bust.
Officers responded to the complaint Sunday afternoon in the 400 block of Heart D Farm Road in Broussard. Police say over 50 people were at the home when they arrived on scene. Broussard police say they were speaking with the two renters of the home, when they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from both men as well as from inside. Officers say that's when they disbursed the crowd and began a search of the home. Police say, over 90 individual bags of marijuana and 3 individually packaged baggies, identified as blotting papers containing suspected LSD were found inside the home. Officers also found about 30 articles of drug paraphernalia consisting of glass pipes, weighing scales, bongs, cigarette rollers, and small empty Ziploc baggies.
Christopher Deeter and Andrew Cotten were both arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute LSD, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Facility without incident.
