Authorities say Raymond Adams, who was seriously injured in a March car accident, now faces criminal charges for the wreck in Lacombe.
The Advocate reports Adams was arrested at his Slidell home Tuesday night and booked with vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Adams' passenger, 24-year-old William Gaffney, of Lacombe, was killed in the accident.
Deputies say evidence indicates Adams was traveling over 100 mph when he left the roadway, struck a culvert and became airborne, colliding with a tree.
