A Morse man is arrested for causing an Amtrak train wreck near Crowley which injured 14 people.
The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office charged Marlon Broussard, 44, with driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and failure to stop at railroad grade crossing.
Broussard drove an 18-wheeler hauling grain into the path of an Amtrak train, splitting the truck's trailer in half.
It happened on American Legion Drive September 10. Fourteen people onboard the train were injured. Broussard was not injured.
He is now in the Acadia Parish Jail with a bond set at $20,500.
