Dozens of Bats Filmed Flying out of Shreveport Apartment Complex

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Cody Mikesell says bats are driving him
out of a Shreveport apartment complex.
KSLA-TV reports it filmed dozens of bats flying out of the
complex about an hour after dusk.
Mikesell says he and other tenants have been complaining since
March about the noise and the stink.
The station reports that the apartment's corporate office never
returned multiple calls.
Dr. Martha Whyte of the state Office of Public Health says the
bats could carry rabies.
Mikesell has lived there about nine months, and says he's
looking for a new place to live.
