Despite the rain a couple dozen people turned out in Youngsville Sunday afternoon to discuss plans to save that 250-year old oak tree.
The tree is scheduled to come down to make way for a roundabout at Highways 89 and 92, but not if these people get their way. "Guardian of the Oaks" and "Trees Acadiana" have teamed up to try and move the tree. The catch? They've got to come up with 250-thousand dollars in less than a month.
