Dozens arrested for alleged crack cocaine sales

Nearly 40 suspected crack cocaine dealers were arrested in Lafayette today. The 38 arrests are a culmination of a nearly three-month investigation The Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force used undercover officers, posing as drug users, to target dealers in the city and parish. "A total of 47 undercover buys were made," Capt. John Babin said. More arrests are expected.
