Funeral arrangements are in the works for three people in Palmetto. One - a man accused of shooting and killing his wife and her friend and then himself. It happened Sunday night.
Neighbor, Whitney Carmon, said "for an area like this its something that is very disturbing."
John Rideau said, "we were all together for the parade yesterday-- having fun and dancing. He's going to missed."
Officials said Ransome Rideau got into a fight with his wife Burnella Rideau at their home on Joseph Street. He fired multiple shots hitting both Burnella and her friend Jeanette Oliney. The sheriff's office says Rideau then took off to confront a man about rumors involving his wife. Investigators said it led to another fight.
"He called and he said he was shot or whatever," his brother said. "We came and but by the time we got here, the police had taped off everything and we couldn't really get in the back where it happened at."
Investigators said all three bodies where found behind the Rideau's home. The two female victims were in a car-- both still wearing their seat belts. They both had multiple gunshot wounds. Rideau's body was found near the vehicle.
Investigators said Rideau shot himself in the head after returning to his house. Whitney Carmon has lived next door to the Rideau's for years. He said he never saw signs of trouble.
He said, "they seemed like a very happen couple."
Another family member, Rickey Bolden, described them as "good people well known, fun to be around."
