BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A broken fire hydrant has caused Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's headquarters building in Baton Rouge will be closed due to a lack of water service.
State officials said water to the building was shut off Monday morning after a vehicle struck a nearby fire hydrant. Without water service, DOTD's headquarters building has no air conditioning, fire protection or restroom capabilities.
Officials said the building will reopen on Tuesday.
