LAFAYETTE. A.C.L.A., the Association Cultural Latino Acadiana, is repeating the success of last year with a bigger and better "2013 Latin Music Festival". The Latin Music Festival is 11 years old and will be held, again, at "Parc International" in Downtown Lafayette, on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from noon till 10:00 pm.
Eight restaurants of Latin Cuisine will open with the Latin Music Festival at noon: Pamplona, Barandas, Café Habana City, La Carreta, La Morenita, El Chile Verde and Pelon's Mexican Hot Dog. We look forward to seeing you early, have lunch with us and enjoy the early portion of the 2013 Latin Music Festival.
The live music of the 2013 Latin Music Festival will be provided by a D.J, and five live bands: "Rio Luminoso", "Mariachis Jalisco", "Vivaz", "Casa Samba" and "OVI-G and the Froggies". All great music representing cultures of Brazil, The Caribbean, Honduras, Mexico and more, for your enjoyment and dancing pleasure. Don't worry, we will have Dance Instructors, as well.
The 2013 Latin Music Festival welcomes back exhibitors of Arts & Crafts of Latin Heritage and/or Latin Culture. Fourteen Latin artists and ACLA members will be offering their art work, in the form of textiles, jewelry, crafts, paintings and carvings. Some accept credit cards and ATMs will also be available for your convenience.
Best of all, the family-friendly Latin Music Festival is FREE for the entire community of Acadiana and its visitors. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th, so you don't miss the Folklore dances, the dance classes, the children activities, and it is a Festival for every one.
A.C.L.A. is a non-profit organization under 501 (C) (3) of the I.R.S. and donations are tax deductible and accepted.
