Do the political beliefs of a CEO affect what you may buy from a company?

RANT: The Muppets sever ties with Chick-fil-a after the company's CEO said he was against same-sex marriage. Do the political beliefs of a CEO affect what you may buy from a company? Or are you just looking for the best product at a price you're willing to pay?
