The Crowley Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a 34-year-old Crowley man accused of a residential burglary after DNA links him to the crime.
"During the last month, we have had two (2) cold cases which evidence has given us leads to reopen the cases. DNA evidence has recently helped bring new life to these cases" stated Chief KP Gibson.
Police say the two cases date back to a 2008 residential burglary and a 2012 attempted burglary of a business.
"Although evidence has been obtained in the 2012 case, additional follow up is needed and our assigned investigator is working on it. In regard to the 2008 burglary, DNA evidence has linked a Crowley man to the crime and a warrant has been issued for his arrested" stated Chief KP Gibson.
Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward for information which leads to the arrest of Chad Thibodeaux. Callers will remain anonymous and can call 789-TIPS (8477)" stated Chief Gibson.
