LAUREL, Miss. (AP) - The rape of a woman in Louisiana woman has been linked to five rapes in Mississippi's Jones County.
Maj. Robbie Suber of the Jones County Sheriff's Department says DNA evidence links the August assault on an 87-year-old woman in New Iberia, La., to five assaults on Jones County women.
According to a report in Thursday's Hattiesburg American, Suber said the New Iberia case was similar to the Jones County cases in that the rapist broke into the home during the night and assaulted the victim.
