Question: I have long, one-length hair that my mom trims with house scissors. The last time she cut it, we noticed I had a million split ends. Is it the scissors?
Answer:Yes, it certainly could be the dull household scissors that are causing all the split ends. If the cost of getting your hair cut is a concern, there are many chain salons out there that offer really inexpensive trims. Just go in with pre-washed hair, and all they'll have to do is spray it down and then trim. At the very least, invest in a quality pair of shears designed for cutting hair.
