Disney Shuts Down Web Movie Service

LOS ANGELES (AP) - It was a small world after all - at least when it came to the number of people who wanted to check out Disney's Web movie service. So Disney Movies Online is shutting down. In an email to users The Walt Disney Company says the site will be going away at the end of the year. The site let visitors buy and rent movies from the Disney library - including films made by Disney subsidiary Pixar. It also let people who bought physical discs stream their movies from the site. But Disney says the site wasn't keeping up with user demands - so away it goes.
