Detectives investigate apparent murder-suicide

HOLDEN, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide near Holden.
Jason Ard, chief criminal deputy, tells The Advocate It appears that a husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
Ard said the names of the couple were not released because deputies were still contacting relatives Wednesday evening.
He said the man and wife were in their mid-60s.
Ard said there was no history of domestic violence complaints at the couple's address.
