FERRIDAY, La. (AP) - State police say a Concordia Parish
sheriff's deputy John Mott was killed in a two-vehicle accident
near Lake Concordia and a Clayton man faces vehicular homicide
charges in connection with the wreck.
Troopers say 41-year-old John Mott was killed Sunday night when
his motorcycle was hit by a pickup on La. Highway 568.
The Natchez Democrat says 31-year-old Joseph L. Drummer was
driving eastbound when he attempted to turn left onto Louisiana
900, colliding with the westbound Mott.
Drummer was booked with vehicular homicide, DWI-third offense,
improper left turn, driving under suspension, open container and
possession of marijuana.
He was booked into the Concordia Parish Jail.
It was not immediately known whether Drummer has an attorney.
