Deputy city marshals arrest alleged burglar for failures to appear in court

Lafayette Deputy City Marshals arrested an alleged burglar for failing to appear in court several times since 2012.

When deputies recognized the alleged burglar, Brennon Nemiah Avie, in the 100 block of Delahoussaye Street in Lafayette, they took him into custody for failing to appear for several charges against him. Those charges include simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana second offense, carrying a firearm in a firearm-free zone, and no seatbelt.

The City Marshal's office says office says Avie's record dates back to 2009.
