Deputies: Robbery Suspect Assaulted for Not Giving up Money

Iberia Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed robbery in which they say the victim was assaulted with a stick. Investigators say the incident took place last night around midnight. They say the victim was walking in the 400 block of Dark Alley when the four suspects approached him and demanded money. Deputies say he refused and was beat up by the suspects. Investigators say the assault stopped only after he gave up the cash.
