Deputies: Mother Gives Daughter Loaded Sock to Confront Bullies

A 31-year-old Lafayette Parish woman is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile after she allegedly sent her daughter to school with an improvised weapon. Deputies say the woman gave her child a sock stuffed with four golf balls to retaliate against bullies. Deputies add the mother confirmed this story when they questioned her. The mother, whose identity is being withheld to protect her child's identity, was issued a summons for court.
