MONROE, La. (AP) - Ouachita Parish deputies have arrested a Monroe man accused of fleeing from his work release assignment.
The News-Star reports 30-year-old Jmarreon Mack was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center late Monday night on a charge of simple escape.
According to an arrest affidavit, deputies were called to a local employer who said one of his employees, Mack, left the site of his work release assignment.
The report stated the employer contacted deputies about an hour after Mack left. Deputies said they searched the premises, but could not find Mack.
According to deputies, the employer called back, saying Mack had returned.
Mack's bond was set at $1,000 on the escape charge.
