A Carencro man is in jail on charges he broke into a home and held two children at gunpoint. Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies say Curtis Dean was one of three men that broke into a home Friday night in the 1900 block of Carmel Drive. Investigators say a 5- and a 12-year-old were home alone at the time. Deputies say Dean made the two children sit at the kitchen table while two other suspects ransacked the house. Deputies say they found items from the home in Dean's residence.

Two other suspects are wanted in this case. One is currently in custody and being questioned.
