HARVEY, La. (AP) - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says a call to 911 revealed hundreds of marijuana plants in a Harvey home.
According to The Times-Picayune, an arrest report says firefighters were called to the house on Sunday because of billowing smoke, and found a back room full of potted marijuana plants.
They called the sheriff's office. The arrest report says deputies with a search warrant found 241 plants and related equipment.
It says 27-year-old Derrick Le (LEE) and 57-year-old Jesus Bustos both were booked with marijuana distribution. Le also was booked with possessing a firearm and a controlled dangerous substance and aggravated criminal damage to property.
It was not clear whether they had attorneys.
