A Bayou Vista man is behind bars after investigators say they found drugs and a makeshift bomb in his home. Darryl James Perry, Jr., 24, faces a charge of manufacturing and possession of a bomb and several drug charges. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office says a search of Perry's David Road home turned up marijuana, steroids, pills, and an "improvised explosive device." Deputies say they evacuated the area while the state police bomb squad removed the device from Perry's home. Perry's bond has been set.
