The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office announced today the completion of five sheriff's deputies of the Louisiana Post Jail and Corrections Training Curriculum. These deputies include Deputy Marcus Bergeron, Deputy Adam Rivette, Deputy James H. Lacombe, Jr., Deputy Cherika Albert and Deputy Arthur Prudhomme, Jr.
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz said, "The class is a 2 week course that instructs correctional deputies on topics such as supervision of inmates, functions of the jail, disciplinary procedures and inmate rights. During the course, cadets are instructed in first aide/CPR and emergency medical procedures."
"I want to commend the deputies for their hard work and dedication while taking this course," Guidroz added.
Sheriff Guidroz plans to have more correctional deputies certified in this course.
