BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana's Department of Health and
Hospitals has launched a new Web site to help anyone who wants to
donate medical work, supplies or other resources to help earthquake
victims in Haiti.
Secretary Alan Levine says one of the best ways the agency can
help is to provide access for those who want to join the recovery
work.
The site is www.HealthCareAssistLA.org.
It provide links to agencies, organizations and corporations
that are accepting donations of money or goods, or volunteers for
the recovery in Haiti. It also links to the State Department's
people finder for Haiti.
Levine and the state emergency preparedness director have both
offered help to Haiti through their respective federal agencies.
