MONROE, La. (AP) - Louisiana Delta Community College Chancellor Luke Robins has accepted a position as president of Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Wash.
The News-Star reports the Peninsula College Board of Trustees offered him the job Tuesday and, if contract negotiations are successful, he will become the institution's sixth president, effective July 1.
Robins, who has been Delta's chancellor since 2006 and has served as interim regional director of Northeast Louisiana Technical College since 2011, said he is excited about the opportunity.
Peninsula College has a total enrollment of 8,128 students, employs 57 full-time teaching faculty members and offers 1,070 degrees and certificates, according to the latest figures from its website.
