In St. Landry parish, the school board will select a new superintendent at their next board meeting on February 7th. The selection process has been delayed ever since two current board members were indicted on federal bribery charges, for trying to sell their votes to interim superintendent Joseph Cassimere. Those board members, Quincy Richard and John Miller have yet to face trial and will be allowed to vote, at that meeting in February.
