Warm and moist conditions will continue overnight through tomorrow. Trouble sorting out the messy forecast, but plan and expect over the next 72 hours for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Already seeing the radar pick up on a few showers near and over the Basin moving northward. With the unsettled airmass in place, we will have not much a problem of showers and a thunderstorm or two overnight.
Friday through Saturday evening will also be a active time frame. Energy coming out of the west will continue to move eastward closer to the region allowing numerous showers and thunderstorms especially closer to the frontal passage during Saturday morning/mid-day. The risk of strong storms or severe weather is still low at this time.
Unfortunately, models continue to struggle with the next several days, but the overall forecast through Sunday remaining wet/damp/muggy. Finally by Sunday night/Monday morning, cooler/drier airmass will settle over Acadiana for a few days.
