Fighting to clear open burglary investigations, Crowley Chief of Police K.P. Gibson reports that another suspect has been arrested and that there should be additional arrest to follow.
"Our officers have been working hard to identify suspects involved in the recent rash of burglaries and make prosecutable cases against them" stated Chief K.P. Gibson. "Officers on patrol made a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations. Information was provided to officers that a vehicle fitting the same description was possibly involved in the recent burglaries. During the stop, the officer discovered property, which had been taken from several burglaries," stated Chief Gibson.
This discovery led to the arrest of Kevin Wayne Wilson, 17 of Crowley. Wilson has been arrested for burglary and 3 counts of possession of stolen property. He has also been charged with possession of schedule II narcotics. He has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail with bond being set at $67,000.
"Our officers have been working extremely hard to close out these investigations. With the teamwork our officers have displayed, I feel confident that additional cases will be closed out and other suspects will be arrested in the near future" stated Chief Gibson.
