Crowley man booked with second-degree murder

A Crowley man has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man during what police said was an argument.
The Advertiser reports Clyde Milstead III was arrested Sunday in the shooting death of Jerrell Andrus.
Police say Andrus was shot once in the head. He was taken to a hospital in Lafayette, where he died Sunday afternoon.
Police say Andrus and Milstead were both inside a Crowley home when the argument broke out. Milstead then allegedly retrieved a firearm and shot the victim.
Milstead was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
